3P Upgrade Software Release Notes  Ver 1.0 Initial Release. There are a few known problems which are:-  1)  The Portamento is disabled for the moment. There is some pretty complex maths involved in this and it is  not behaving.   2)  The Sequencer only works in Gate mode for the moment. Play along envs also have issues.  3)  In Arpeggiator mode the Release stage of the envelopes are not working.  4)  Sequencer editing has not been written. This is probably all going to change anyway as all the ideas for a  better sequencer system are implemented.  5)  No testing has been done on the NPRN midi commands and only limited testing on the sysex. The MidiCC  works well so use this for the moment. Ver 1.2 Current Release - all 3P upgrades are now at this release  Fixes for the following problems  1)  Keys playing incorrect frequencies at random (usually on one DCO only).  2)  Sens Mix Edit swapped L & R 3)  DCO1 LFO select changing DCO1 & 2 LFO  4)  Env speeds adjusted to JX-3P original speeds  5)  Overflow problems on some modulation sources  6)  Change the ‘factory restore’ to also set midi channels to 1 & patch number to A1 7)  Change all LFO Mod controls to log format for smoother low level control  8)  Fixed LFO DCO modulation that was jumpy at very low levels  9)  Adjust Chorus mod output levels to stop sweep noises  10)  Fixed Internet Updating Problem  Ver 1.3 Status - released (2)  1)  Fixed stuck notes on Unison & Mono 2)  Stop all sounding voices on Keymode change  3)  Add Envelope Speed Select system (operation details are in v2.0 user manual)  4)  Pressing Edit Write button will now exit edit mode to allow program write  5)  Increase max chorus sweep speed  6)  In Arp Mode set Arp to position 1 and stop seq clock if all keys released 7)  Chord Mode will use Highest or Lowest Key depending on Unison or Mono Keymode selected  8)  Chord Mode cancels Arp Mode, Arp Mode cancels Chord Mode  9)  LFO Delay now fades in the LFO  10)  Midi Program change now working  Ver 1.4 Status - released (1&2)  1)  Support added for the PG-200 - Note this will require wires to be run to the Upgrade board. Details of this  are in the user manual v2.1 or later  2)  Fixed one voice in 6 not sounding in Mono, Unison & Chord modes  3)  Fixed Random Generator  4)  Fixed System freezing on some parameter edits using Sens Slider  5)  Fixed Env speed always being set to slow on power up  Note - Due to a small change to suit bulk dumps the Chorus on/off and manual/auto will need to be reset in  every patch as it will default to off on existing patches. Just turn it on and save the patch again. Fixed an error where the PE would only respond to midi in channel 1.  Manual version changed to the same as the program release. (2)  Ver 4.5 All synths reordered alphabetically and Kawai K3m, Studio Electronics ATC, Waldorf MicroQ & Microwave 1  have been added. PG-200 & PG-800 have been placed in the first two positions to separate them from the midi  controlled synths. (1&2) Ver 4.4 PG-200 interface rewritten to work for both the MKS-30 & JX-3P. A hardware and cable change is required in  the PE if using v4.4 or higher with a MKS-30 or JX-3P. (2)  Ver 4.3 Fix for synth midi channel select problem. (1&2)  Ver 4.2 Rewrite of MKS-70 & MKS80 patches. MKS-80 now supports all of the MPG-80 parameters. The MKS-70 patch  has been upgraded to support many of the parameters that the PG-800 does not support. (2)  Ver 4.1 3P Upgrade Patch changed to suit v2 commands. Moog Phatty patch now includes Arp controls. (2)  Ver 4.0 2nd page added to JX-8P. Korg M1 added. Bootloader changed to accommodate larger tables (1&2)  Ver 3.9 3P Upgrade returned to v1. (1&2)  Ver 3.1 MidiCC control of the PE added. (1&2)  Ver 3.0 Code ported to suit the new CPU. Please note all future updates will only apply to the new CPU. An upgrade is  available for most older Patch Editors on the order page. This will require disassembly of the PE but no  soldering is required and instructions will be supplied.
